Let the Light In - about the collection
This group of work is an outcome of an intention these last few weeks to take time for the things that lighten my heart and nurture my spirit.
Quiet practices such as journaling, taking time to be still and listen, and heading outside to soak in the beauty of nature have a way of quieting the voice that tells me to hurry, and tune in to the still small voice that reminds me what's really important.
Honestly, it’s usually a struggle to feel there's time for these things. But there’s a peacefulness I experience when I create space for these practices that fills a deep need.
Over time I notice a shift towards trust and away from fear, and a willingness to create for the joy of it without expectation of outcome. A slow chipping away of my desire for control and certainty that I get to take back with me in other areas of my life.
